Royal Lemkes Foundation
The Royal Lemkes Foundation is dedicated to achieving a more social and green society. Both in the Netherlands and other places in the world. We are very much aware that we don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Therefore we want to take care of it as best we can.
We do so by supporting initiatives that encompass ‘Green & Togetherness’; projects which contribute towards future-proofing our world and projects that ensure people don’t end up feeling left out by society. Either resulting from personal involvement of Royal Lemkes employees or based on strategic choices on the following themes:
Overcropping, land degradation, unsafe living environments, difficult or even dangerous working conditions; human action has and continues to inflict suffering on the earth, much to the detriment of future generations. By approaching our living environment differently, innovative green projects instigate positive change with often times simple solutions.
Agri- and horticulture
How can we best manage the natural resources available to us? In what ways can we save water? Do we really need this much land? Are economies of scale part of the solution or part of the problem? What about re-use? How to share our knowledge and best practices?
Sometimes people just need a little extra help to carry out a great idea. A microcredit is more than a loan against favourable conditions, more than a new opportunity. It is an expression of trust in you as a person.
Involvedness and enthusiasm of employees, suppliers, and customers are at the heart of the Royal Lemkes Foundation. They can propose projects that they care deeply about.
